At the heart of every engineering challenge is a clever solution just waiting to be found. Sometimes however, those clever solutions require the help of - just plain resolve. Our client came to us with a need for one of our RSS systems – but required some project specific design changes – namely, raising the roof to house a massive S70B Seahawk Helicopter Flight Simulator for the Brazilian Navy. Re-engineering the standard RSS was the easy part – delivering and installing a mission-critical shelter in midst of a raging, once in a lifetime, global pandemic, nearly 5,000 miles away… well, that’s just what we do!
The installed size of this Brazilian RSS was 75’ long x 35’ wide x 25’ tall with over 60,000 cubic feet of interior space. As the saying goes “it takes a village”, this was project was no different. The resiliency of a truly collaborative effort by multiple teams across oceans, continents, and languages ensured success - even under the most challenging of circumstances.
